Meditation slows down the aging process….
Although meditation can lower your stress level and blood pressure it can also have an overall effect on your biological age. In the International Journal of Neurosccience (1982) it was documented that people who practiced meditation for more than 5 years were physiologically twelve years younger than their chronological age, as measured by reduction of blood pressure, near point vision and auditory discrimination. Newer meditators were physiologically 5 years younger.
