Alexa Zaledonis often says that her life was like a snow globe; she was always trying to get to the Empire State Building through a blizzard caused by her own shaking of the globe. Finally, after a few careers and a lot of shaking, she found a life changing method that allowed her to let the snow settle, see life a little clearer, move a little slower, allow creativity to flow and live a far more peaceful and productive life. Plus it cut 20 minutes off her marathon time. This method is meditation; the simple act of being quiet and mindful. Since she was seventeen she has been interested in meditation and now it is a daily joy in her life.
As an anxiety stricken kid, stressed out CPA of fifteen years, long distance runner and cyclist, chairman of a National Board and now a Spa owner for over 11 years, she has seen a lot of people just like herself; people looking to kick the habit of a life debilitating disease called stress. Stress is not always a bad thing but the accumulation of excess stress can be deadly. Half the battle is identifying when stress is starting to build up in your body and the rest is not a battle at all, it's just a process of self care that doesn't take a lot of effort.
With over five thousand people a year coming through the doors of her Even Keel Wellness Spa in Annapolis Maryland it has been with both hard work and joy that she found her passion of teaching people of all backgrounds the art of meditation. After their massage treatment, clients always say "I wish I could feel like this all day, every day". Alexa found a way to help them find that daily feeling through meditation. Alexa is also a Massage Therapist who specializes in Thai Yoga Massage. "Integrating Western and Eastern practices in your life can truly change your life."
Alexa teaches individuals and groups the Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation™ method and in addition has an individual and corporate meditation coaching practice and is also available for motivational wellness talks. She enjoys all types of clients: from executives, parents and students, to athletes and their coaches; there are endless ways how meditation can help you reach your peak. She is Certified by the McLean Meditation Institute, holds a bachelors in accounting, is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor and was a CPA for 15 years. I guess you can add, a perpetual student.
